Our best line of awnings is customizable from the size to the housing to the fabric and valance and braid detail. Choose from a range of solid and striped 100% acrylic fabric that will withstand seasons in the sun.

    We use only first grade, 100% acrylic Shade and marine grade fabric from Sunbrella. This fabric carries an 10 full year warranty from rot, mildew and excessive fading. The panels are sewn with GORE Tenera thread which carries the same 8 year warranty.

    *IMPORTANT if you select a pattern or stripe fabric, that it may or may not line up with your main awning fabric. This is due to different manufacturing processes as well as the actual fabric roll width which differs slightly from roll to roll and manufacturer.

Frame Color

    The awning’s aluminum framework, other than the fasteners, is powder coated rather than wet painted in your choice of standard colors based on the model selected. The typical homeowner will select a frame color that best matches their home’s exterior trim color. More Info

Valance Type

    The valance is located on the front of the awning which provides additional solar protection. The fabric is the same as the main body. All the stripes and seams will line up with the main cover. You can select from several styles shown here. More Info

Mount

  • Mount *

    The mounting method is based on where the awning is being mounted to the building unit. Choose from two options: Wall Mount or Roof Mount. Wall Mount - This application is typically used on flat two story homes where adequate mounting height can be achieved. Once you determine that this is the best mounting application for you and identify the mount area, be sure there are no obstructions such as dryer vents, exterior lights or downspouts. Roof Mount - This is the typical mounting needed on ranch and bi-level homes to achieve adequate pitch. The brackets will mount on the flat asphalt shingles, 2 rows back from the roof edge, over the eve. With the slope of the roof and the height of the brackets, add 12” to the top edge of the roof to determine mounting height for this method. Specially designed roof mount brackets are required. Operation

  • Operation *

    You have an option as to how you would like to operate your awning. Drive Side: Choose location of Manual Gear or Motor (right or left side of the awning). Determine left or right side when standing on your deck looking at the house. Manual Operation: The manual crank option requires you to turn a crank handle to extend and retract the unit. You will need to turn the crank approximately 70 times to extend a 10' projection unit - more for greater projections. Retracting the unit will take more effort than extending the unit as you are working against the outward force of the internal arm springs. Motorized Operation: Motorizing your unit will only require an outdoor outlet for power. The unit will operate with a remote control and will stop automatically when fully extended or fully retracted. When your unit is motorized you can also stop it in any position to best fit your needs. Our motors also have a built-in manual crank system so if you lose power you can still operate your awning. This option includes the power cord and remote. Optional Wind Sensor: This wireless sensor is mounted on the front bar and sends a single to the motor to retract the unit if it becomes too windy. The sensor offers an added level of protection to you investment.

    If you choose YES for the hood option, the hood price will be added to your cart when you add the product.

    PLEASE NOTE: Please select NO HOOD option for ceiling/soffit mounting. The hood is constructed of aluminum and is powder coated to match the aluminum frame color. The hood attaches to the awning’s rear torsion or square bar. This option is highly suggested for roof mounts, as well as wall mount applications, where there is no protection within 2’ over the unit such as an eve or soffit. The hood will protect the first 10 inches of the fabric when the awning is retracted. Without a hood, overtime you might see some discoloration of the awning fabric in this particular area when the unit is extended. If the awning is motorized, the addition of a hood may help to extend the life of the motor.

Customize your awning by color and cut. You can select from a number of valance types including a straight edge or a traditional scalloped cut. Once you have the aesthetics decided, you can customize the hardware including the housing type, frame color and whether you want a manual gear or motorized retraction. You can add a motor with a sensor to automate the use of your awning even further, so it will extend at certain temperatures or retract when the wind increases.

Configuration options are plenty, but also very clear so you can make informed choices on your DIY retractable awing.
